About Support Nepal UK

Support Nepal UK is a registered charity (No. 1181380) based in Buckinghamshire, UK, since January 2019. Its mission is to support education, health, and sports in Kolma Bahakot, mid-west Nepal. The charity has acquired five acres of land in Dandaswa village to build a welfare center and accommodation for volunteers like teachers, doctors, and students. It is also affiliated with Sahara Club’s football academy for underprivileged children in Dobilla, Pokhara.
Established in 2019 under the leadership of Mrs. Polly Scott as President and with Mr. Arun Kumar Chaudhary as Patron, our executive committee has been actively engaged in charitable initiatives and community outreach. We are proudly affiliated with the Rotary Clubs of Cookham Bridge, Bourne End, and Marlow in the UK. Since our inception, we have supported numerous causes—including fundraising for oxygen cylinders during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing water storage tanks for welfare centers, and distributing water filters and stationery to schools affected by earthquakes. We also organize biannual trips to Nepal in March and November, offering our members a unique opportunity to explore and connect with the heart of the country.
Welfare Centre
A range of healthcare will be provided for local communities through integration and coordination among Nepal and UK experts and health professionals.
We also aim to integrate gap year students and scouts by working in the village in different sectors like education, agriculture & construction of schools, gaining valuable experience by exploring Nepal.
The main aim of the welfare center is to attract and encourage medical health care professionals as well as gap year students and scouts to spend some time in Nepal enjoying the Nepal experience.
It is hoped that volunteer medical and allied healthcare professionals and gap year students will go to work and gain valuable experience and explore Nepal. A plan is being put in place presently for student exchange and work placements.
