Initially we started as a small group of likeminded people in the Stokenchurch area, whose goal was to provide support and sports facilities to rural schools and the older generation in Syangja district, West Nepal. Subsequently we also supported the ‘Street Boys’ orphanage/academy called Sahara Academy which is situated in Pokhara, Nepal.
The charity has been in the process of constructing a Welfare Centre in the village of Dandaswara since 2016. We are pleased to announce the completion of the building project in November 2022. The Welfare Centre was officially inaugurated at a ceremony held on 6th November 2022 which was attended by Arun Chaudhary from the Arun Chaudhary Foundation and Polly Scott, President of Support Nepal UK. You can read more about the inauguration in our newsletter which is published on our website Downloads page.
